Windows Snap-in failed to initialize
When you try to open Microsoft Management Console snap-in for Group or Local Security Policies the console will not open and you will receive a message that snap-in failed to initialize like the one in the image below.

This error is caused by a wrong or none existent system path. Follow the steps below to fix it.
1. Go to Control Panel -> System Properties -> Advanced -> Environment variables, under System variables, Click on New.
2. Variable name is PATH and Variable value is %systemroot%\system32\WBEM

3. Click OK and open the Microsoft Management Console again.
That’s about it, the error should be gone by now.
